Maria Montenegro
Maria Montenegro is a Latin American evaluator based in Canada who is passionate about building evaluation capacity. She is currently Virtual Health, Leader of Evaluations and Strategy with Fraser Health Authority and also works as an independent evaluation consultant. Maria has over 8 years of experience working as an evaluator in the post-secondary education, nonprofit, and public sectors.
Maria co-founded and chaired EvalYouth North America, a group that supports young and emerging evaluators and promotes meaningful engagement of youth in evaluation. She also served as the American Evaluation Association representative to EvalYouth. Maria hosts The Evaluation Couch, a podcast about career development in evaluation. Maria holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Alberta and is a Credentialed Evaluator with the Canadian Evaluation Society.
