Kristian Paolo Torres
I am responsible for providing research, evaluation, and knowledge management support on inclusive development and social protection for BRAC's Ultra-Poor Graduation Initiative in the Philippines. This includes reviewing mixed method research
studies and leading the use of digital-based approaches to capture and communicate project learnings and technical knowledge.
Prior to my full-time engagement with BRAC, I previously worked on the UPGI project in the Philippines with the Philippine Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), where I lead the project’s monitoring and reporting. I also have extensive experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) with different organizations such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and United States Agency for International Development (USAID), among others.
I hold a master’s degree in Social Research from the Australian National University (ANU). I have a strong interest in utilizing quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to improve effectiveness and efficiency of development programs and
projects, especially in the fields of social protection and basic education.
