Tania Dora Warokka
I am an international development practitioner with over 21 years of experience specializing in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), with a strong focus on inclusive development and social protection. I currently provide research, evaluation, and knowledge management support for BRAC’s Ultra-Poor Graduation Initiative, working closely with program and policy teams to strengthen the use of evidence for learning, adaptation, and decision-making.
My professional experience includes 13 years as an M&E Advisor for DFAT-funded programs such as MAHKOTA and School Systems Quality, as well as extensive work with international NGOs across Aceh, Medan, and Jakarta. I have collaborated closely with national and sub-national government counterparts, including the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs, Bappenas, and TNP2K. My work spans key development areas including poverty reduction, social protection, education, gender empowerment, food security, health and nutrition, disaster risk management, climate change, social inclusion, and emergency response.
I specialize in designing and strengthening MEL systems, developing MEL frameworks and plans, conducting qualitative and quantitative research, and facilitating learning, training, and capacity-building processes for program teams and government partners. I hold a Master’s degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from North Sumatera University, which provide a strong academic foundation for my work in evaluation, learning, and social development.
