Leadership and Management in International Development (F2F - 5 Days)

We cover globally recognised management and leadership theories, tools and techniques and adapt them to your needs, putting each one into practice. You will get to network and learn with others in the development sector, and exercise new knowledge and skills on topics including influence, motivation and power analysis. Through a mix of practical activities, theory and case examples, you will learn how to:

- Motivation & Relationships: Map stakeholders, understand motivations, and what drives you and your network
- Performance & Teams: Link motivation to skills, master feedback, and explore effective team characteristics and leadership presence
- Strategic Leadership: Develop strategies for future leadership and navigate power relations effectively.
- MiRo mapping: use of psychometric tools to evaluate your leadership style
- See theory in practice: a variety of case studies to learn skill for practical application
- Networking: engage in networking and peer-learning with fellow development workers
- Blended learning: enjoy face-to-face contact with your instructors as well as online course support
- Personalised mentoring: a follow-up session with our facilitators at least 3 months after completing the course

Accreditation: HPass accredited.
Participants will receive a certificate of completion from IMA, as well as an HPass badge.
