EvalYouth Asia is accepting applications for the 5th Asia Pacific Winter School for Young and Emerging Evaluators, 2024. EvalYouth Asia is a regional chapter of the EvalYouth Global Network which aims to promote youth participation in evaluations and build a strong network of YEEs across the region. This in-person Winter School will be held on 30 November and 1st December 2024 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Traditionally set in the city of Vienna, Austria, from December 4-6, 2024, this conference promises to be a gathering of thought leaders, academics, and practitioners who are charting the course through these dynamic times."

Why choose this course?

Evaluating Social Programs (ESP) 2024 is a three-day in-person course that explores the use of monitoring and evaluation to drive sustainable social impact at scale.

This course seeks to equip professionals from across social enterprises, NGOs, governments, and multilateral organizations with the tools to evaluate the impact of their programs, products, and services and strengthen the use of data and evidence to drive impact sustainably and at scale.

Applications are due by 4 October 2024.

Arts-based methods facilitate enriching, meaningfully messy, and – dare we say fun – ways to collaborate, collect data, and practice reflexivity. Just like a good survey or impactful interview, arts-based methods require a strong theoretical foundation, practice, and more practice. Anchored in practice, this 6-week online beginner course offers practicing evaluators 12 hours of original content, opportunities to learn 4 methods (photography, poetry, collage & drawing), hands-on skill-building, and a small/supportive learning community.

Doing Good (In) Evaluation: the Basics and Beyond

The 2025 National Conference is an opportunity to come together to renew, where ideas will flow and contribute to collective progress (confluence).  Together, let's challenge old ways of thinking, introduce innovative evaluation techniques, and practice effective allyship while adhering to CES Competencies and Ethical Guidance.

Monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) tools and approaches in education is a nine-week online course designed to enhance participants’ MEL knowledge and skills, which are critical for measuring and assessing the status and changes in education systems. Participants will explore the various purposes of MEL and discover its key tools, methods, and approaches. Ultimately, they will design a MEL framework for a selected education policy in their country.

The 2025 conference focuses on the vital role of data in delivering impactful evaluations that drive positive change. From commissioning to reporting, we will explore the data lifecycle in the evaluation process.

This hybrid event will be held in the vibrant city of Glasgow, Scotland, with online sessions on day 1, followed by in-person on days 2 and 3 - with keynote presentations and selected content streamed daily.

The annual AES International Evaluation Conference brings together evaluators from around the world. Presentations include keynote addresses by well-known and thought-provoking national and international evaluators and more than 100 breakout sessions. The three-day conference is accompanied by a two-day workshop program.
