The Center for Evaluation Innovation

The Center for Evaluation Innovation focuses on expanding evaluation practice in new directions and into new arenas.

They specialize in fields that are hard to measure like advocacy, strategic learning, and complex social change. In the area of advocacy evaluation, the Center is helping to advance this emerging field by working with many pioneering and creative advocates, evaluators, and funders committed to growing it through collaboration.

This means commissioning and publishing new knowledge and tools. It also means developing training and learning opportunities for those who have a basic understanding of the field, but want to learn more so they can better apply it. The Center is also communicating and reaching out to the much larger group of individuals and organizations who still know very little about advocacy evaluation, but want to learn more about it.

Research and Publications. In collaboration with a network of colleagues, the Center publishes resources on advocacy evaluation. It covers theory, options, outcomes, and practice (case studies). See the Resources section of the website to access a growing list of advocacy evaluation resources.

Newsletter. Advocacy Evaluation Update is a quarterly newsletter that offers original articles on advocacy evaluation. The Center publishes the newsletter in collaboration with Innovation Network.

Resource Clearinghouse. The Center's team adds new evaluation resources to Innovation Network’s Point K Learning Center, the largest online clearinghouse of advocacy evaluation resources. You can visit Point K on Innovation Network’s website (free registration required).
