We've received a lot of useful feedback since launching our user experience survey. Alongside the positive, we've gained insight into some of the difficulties experienced when using and navigating the BetterEvaluation website.
Thank you to everyone who has completed the survey! All of this feedback has been incredibly helpful for us to understand what's working well and what needs improvement.
The survey is still open!
If you haven't had the chance to complete this survey there's still time!

Who should complete the survey?
Anyone and everyone who does some aspect of monitoring and/or evaluation in their role, even if you don't call yourself an 'evaluator'. It doesn't matter if you use BetterEvaluation every day, or if you have only visited it once or twice. We're also keen to hear from people who have never visited the site, so please share it with your networks, colleagues, and friends to help us improve BetterEvaluation.
Book prize!!
To say thank you for your feedback, we're giving away three books on evaluation:
- Developing Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks
Sage, 2016
This book, written by Anne Markiewicz and Ian Patrick, offers a step-by-step guide to developing a monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Principles-Focused Evaluation The GUIDE
The Guilford Press, 2017
This book by Michael Quinn Patton introduces the principles-focused evaluation (P-FE) approach and demonstrates its relevance and application in a range of settings.
- To be advised!
After receiving feedback via this survey about the challenges users face in their monitoring and evaluation work, we'll decide on what content area this third book prize will focus on. Stay tuned!
