This guide from the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension is designed to support the planning of a program evaluation. Its aim is to encourage ongoing reflection on the evaluation process from design through to implementation and data analysis.
The Program Guide is designed around four major sections:
- Focusing the Evaluation
- Collecting the Information
- Using the Information
- Managing the Evaluation
Each section presents a series of questions and considerations that allow for clear analysis of specific situations. It encourages reflection on the project to ensure its effectiveness. The questions it poses are:
- What is the Purpose of the Evaluation?
- What is it I want to know?
- What do I intend to do with the information?
