More about you

My main area(s) of expertise
My main area of expertise covers the application of monitoring and evaluation methods to humanitarian action. I have published work covering methods that are designed to work in data poor environments, interact with informal learning systems, and overcome data management constraints.
My main interest in monitoring and/or evaluation
I am primarily interested in improving evaluation systems to meet the evidence needs of all stakeholder groups as the humanitarian system evolves and adapts to change. I've published guidance on evaluating protection, conducting evidence synthesis, using evaluation for iterative learning, and other areas. I also provide ongoing capacity support to the humanitarian evaluation system through the ALNAP membership. Before joining ALNAP, I was an evaluation consultant in Belgium, where I conducted numerous evaluations for the European Commission’s directorates general for humanitarian aid and development cooperation. I also hold a PhD from King’s College London.
