Hierarchical decision making

Hierarchical decision-making involves making decisions based on formal positions of authority.

For example, in a steering group making decisions about evaluation design, implementation and reporting, there might be a formally identified evaluation manager or delegate. This person would have formal decision-making authority, such as approving an evaluation design or approving the final version of an evaluation report.
