Mastering the Art of Data Storytelling

You have been misled.

Data alone doesn't speak for itself.

To drive organisational decisions and policy actions, you need to transform sterile data sets into compelling stories that influence stakeholders.

Aim of webinar

To empower participants with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively communicate complex data insights through compelling stories, making their data presentations more engaging and impactful.

By the end of the webinar you will be able to:

  • Describe the importance of storytelling in data interpretation and communication
  • Explain how to structure stories with data
  • Identify key elements that make a data story compelling and memorable
  • Utilize storytelling techniques to turn data into insightful narratives

Target audience

Anyone who regularly works with data and looks to influence business decisions. Essentially, any professional who extracts insights from data but needs better skills to present those insights and compel action across their organizations effectively. You may already know how to analyze data and visualize basic charts. However, you wish to learn how to convey compelling stories and narratives that will stick with executive audiences and/or policymakers to drive change.

Whether you're involved in civil society, government agencies, academia, or private sector or advocacy initiatives, this workshop offers crucial insights and practical skills to enhance your data story-telling skills. You don't need formal training as a M&E practitioner or in data analysis to be part of this workshop.
