  • Those involved in evaluation capacity strengthening

How have you used or intend on using this resource?

I would use this resource to recommend to clients who are curious about dashboards and looking for a detailed explanation of what a dashboard is and how to design these to maximise effectiveness. I particularly liked the positioning of dashboards and reports as two ends of a continuum (at 9:30), and the use of worse case examples (at 13:00) to demonstrate what makes a dashboard effective. The majority of the webinar focuses on best practices, with many practical tips for improving visual design including how to remove details from graphs to better convey key messages (28:30).

Why would you recommend it to other people?

A fantastic and accessible one hour summary of what dashboards are, and how to design effective dashboards including many live examples. The presenter, examples and slides are all very clear, and easy to understand and follow.
