Training Workshop on Public Policy Evaluation

CLEAR FA | Regional

Objective(s): train participants so that they are able to explain the concept of public policy and the issues related to its formulation and evaluation in Africa; define key concept of public policy evaluation; develop a theory of change; develop evaluation criteria, questions, and matrix; choose an evaluation design; collect and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to answer evaluation questions; and design strategy to support the use of evaluation in decision-making.

Impact evaluation in the field of agriculture and rural development

Objective(s): provide technical support for the impact evaluations of selected agriculture and rural development projects/programs.

M&E residency program - Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) udergraduate students

CLEAR LAB | National

Objective(s): provide undergrad students with an opportunity to the first contact with practical M&E activities through practical learning (on-the-job training) and mentoring.

Scope: main activities and responsibilities include
- Supporting data analysis
- Supporting Evaluations;
- Supporting the preparation and facilitation of M&E training courses;
- Participating in M&E studies group;
- Participating in weekly periodic meetings with the FGV EESP CLEAR team;
- Other related activities assigned by the mentor

Those who just started their first steps in the evaluation field can solidify and deepen their foundations, and more experienced ones find some specialized topics to accommodate their specific interest.

International Program for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET) On-Site Workshop Series

IPDET | Global

Objective(s): the descriptions of each single workshop contains clearly defined objectives and requirements.

Scope:
- Consolidation stream: solidify and deepen conceptual knowledge and enhance practical skills of evaluation basics as follow-up on the core course.
- Specialized stream: explore methodological and thematic topics on introductory, intermediate and advanced level including cutting-edge and current development issues.

Emerging Evaluator Programme

WFP-OEV | Regional

Objective(s): provide Emerging Evaluators (EEs) in Southern Africa with an opportunity to develop technical evaluation skills, through exposure to real-life evaluation work. More specifically, this programme will train Emerging Evaluators to engage in and deliver quality evaluation work; promote the sharing of experiences and facilitate access to learning opportunities; and stimulate interest in M&E and expand the pool of EEs.
