The purpose of this three-module diploma is to equip learners with the critical knowledge and skillset needed to design and implement (M&E) systems. The diploma is designed in alignment with international standards for (M&E), namely, the American Evaluation Association (AEA) guiding principles for evaluators and the United Nations Evaluation Group (UNEG) core competencies for evaluators of the UN System. The program will blend planning and project management principles with skill development concerning evaluation study design, developing (M&E) frameworks, data collection and analysis, and IT's changing role. Special focus will be given to professional practice and to balancing the ethical aspects of an evaluation.

This specialization course has the aim of equipping professionals with tools for monitoring and evaluating public policies. It blends theoretical subjects with practical modules that focus on key aspects of planning, strategic management, and evaluative culture. The course also covers topics such as the indicators for formulating, monitoring, and evaluating public policies, the evaluation of outcomes, and the economic analysis of policies and programs. By taking this course, professionals from various levels of government and other stakeholders in the public sector will expand their knowledge and expertise in these areas.

The program aims to prepare students for further academic study in a PhD program or for direct entry into the workforce. The M2 EEDS concentration provides advanced training in economic analysis and evaluation, focusing on development, the environment, and sustainable development. This concentration helps students acquire the skills necessary for a PhD or a job in the field. The course emphasizes the political economy of development, taking into account the importance of context in analyzing and addressing important issues such as sustainable development goals, pro-poor growth, participatory processes, and environmental regulation instruments.

The program provides training and hands-on experience with the foundational quantitative methods techniques that are at the core of methods used in data science, applied statistics, and educational measurement. This program offers both thesis and non-thesis options. Both options are intended for students seeking positions that call for competence in educational measurement and research methodology; however, the thesis option is intended for students who plan to take advanced work in statistical methods or educational measurement at the Ph.D. level.

The program provides training and hands-on experience with the cutting-edge quantitative methods techniques used in data science, applied statistics, educational measurement, and machine learning. Students will also learn theory, methods, professional ethics, and methodological best practices in quantitative research methodology.
