The mission of the programs is to guide students in becoming socially just leaders and change agents in a variety of educational contexts. This program addresses current adult education issues and provides solutions that can be immediately applied in the workplace. Our curriculum is guided by the Academy of Human Resource Development standards to provide you the skills and knowledge for designing, administering and assessing training programs in a variety of instructional formats. The program focuses on developing equitable learning environments. Rather than having a single course focused on social issues, equity is embedded throughout all of the course work offered in this program.

The proram is grounded in Oregon State University’s commitment to developing tomorrow’s leaders guided by the principle that equity-centered leadership can be learned and enhanced. The Ed.D. degree has a newly updated curriculum designed for students interested in advancing in leadership positions in higher education. The Ed.D. program's purpose is to educate students wanting to apply research to practice and develop practitioner knowledge.

This certificate program uses a culturally-responsive and equitable evaluation framework. A culturally-responsive or equitable evaluation looks like:
i) Accounting for and respecting culture and context throughout the evaluation process; ii) Including stakeholder voice (service user, funder, etc.) in the evaluation as much as possible; iii) Striving to ensure the evaluation approach reveals structural and systems-level drivers of inequity that impact programs; iv) Disseminating results of the evaluation widely; and v) Using findings of the evaluation to build the capacity of community and community organizations.

This online program provides training in cognition and the learning sciences coupled with educational research and program evaluation skills. The program is open to educators and non-educators alike.

The program focuses on research methodology and prepares scholars to critically engage in educational research and evaluation, develop appropriate and innovative research designs, and contribute conceptually sound analyses to the overlapping fields of education, the social sciences, and the health sciences. The strength of our program centers around a core of collaborative faculty and prominent scholars who remain dedicated to the development and application of dynamic research methodologies situated within contemporary conceptual frameworks. Areas of specialization within our degree program include qualitative methods, quantitative methods, mixed-methodology, psychometrics, and evaluation.

The objective of the program is to deepen knowledge from the formulation to the social evaluation of projects within the framework of the National Investment System, to improve the quality of public projects.
