Interpreting correlations: An interactive visualization

This interactive graphic created by Kristoffer Magnusson graphically illustrates the principles of correlation.

This tool enables those who are new to the use of statistics and correlation to enhance their understanding through visualization. Users can adjust the correlation value from a strong negative correlation of -0.1 through to a positive correlation of +0.01 and see how this is represented graphically in a scatter plot. The shared variance is also highlighted through use of a Venn diagram.
