How can we overcome data challenges in impact evaluations?
Access to reliable and timely data is key to the quality and credibility of impact evaluations. Yet in many developing countries, data constraints often limit the regular availability of information that policymakers and evaluators need. Fortunately, new and innovative data sources – from satellite imagery and drones to sensors and IoT devices – are opening up new possibilities.
In this webinar, the Center for Learning on Evaluation and Results for Francophone Africa (CLEAR-FA) and the World Bank’s Development Impact Group (DECDI, formerly DIME) explore how these innovative approaches can complement traditional methods, strengthen evaluation practices, and generate more robust insights for decision-making.
Speakers:
- Sveta Milusheva – Senior Economist, Development Impact Group, World Bank
- Hee Kwon Seo – Economist, Development Impact Group, World Bank
- Geetika Nagpal – Economist, Development Impact Group, World Bank
Moderator:
- Dr. Edoé Djimitri Agbodjan – Director, CLEAR-FA
