This blog, written by Brad Watts for AEA365, introduces the program evaluation standards week series of blogs and provides examples of different approaches to evaluation standards.
The author, former chair of the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation (JCSEE), notes that the JCSEE is working on revising their renowned Program Evaluation Standards. While the JCSEE has been creating the fourth revision of the evaluation standards the author paused to reflect on alternate approaches and guidelines from around the world, including:
- Guidelines for the ethical conduct of evaluation: Australasian Evaluation Society
- The African evaluation principles: African Evaluation Association (AfrEA)
- DAC evaluation criteria: Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)
