Resource link
This DEval landing page offers a collection of resources on evaluating climate change adaptation interventions within German development cooperation.
The DEval page features outputs from a modular evaluation, which examines adaptation efforts across dimensions such as portfolio allocation, sectoral effectiveness, and residual climate risks. These evaluations use a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, with a synthesis report integrating findings to assess relevance, coherence, and sustainability.
A short video featured on the DEval page summarises the key findings from the modular evaluation, making the results more accessible to a broad audience:
In addition to the modular evaluation, the DEval page includes a range of supplementary resources. These cover topics like managing residual climate risks, using innovative evaluation methods such as geospatial analysis and evidence gap mapping, and integrating monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) into climate risk management. Together, these resources provide M&E practitioners with case studies, methodological insights, and lessons learned to inform their evaluations of climate adaptation initiatives.
