Glocal 2025 Africa launch - Evaluation for a better future: Harnessing evidence for Africa’s prosperity (Webinar)

Explore how regional evaluation leaders in Africa are using evaluation to confront inequality, instability, and misinformation while shaping a more inclusive and resilient future.

Africa stands at a critical crossroads. Over the past decade, the continent has shown strong economic resilience and growth, with innovations flourishing in areas like fintech, agroindustry, and startups. Yet, it still faces persistent challenges in achieving sustainable solutions for economic integration, climate change, social inclusion, and equity. At the same time, the widespread use of social media has fueled misinformation, putting Africa’s young population at greater risk of political manipulation than ever before.

How can evaluation help rebuild trust and drive collective progress across the continent?

To launch Glocal Evaluation Week 2025 in Africa, evaluation leaders from across the region came together to explore how evaluation can address inequality, political and social instability, and economic challenges. They shared practical, locally grounded pathways toward more inclusive and evidence-informed governance.

The session was originally held in English and French. To ensure wider accessibility, the French segments have been dubbed in English.
