Introducing systematic reviews

This is Chapter 1 of the book An Introduction to Systematic Reviews. In this chapter, the authors outline the purpose of systematic reviews and explain their value in making decisions.

Furthermore, they “consider what ‘systematic’ means when applied to reviewing literature [and] [e]xplain how review methods may vary while being systematic.”  They also “[i]Introduce some of the current debates… [and] [e]xplain to readers what to expect from the rest of the book.”
