What happens when local stakeholders are enabled to evaluate the climate programs and projects that are meant to improve their lives?
In this webinar, the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) and the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI) share lessons from CIF's efforts to strengthen the evaluation skills of CIF Observers.
CIF Observers represent civil society, Indigenous Peoples’ organizations, and the private sector. They play an important role in CIF decision-making by bringing in perspectives from their communities and constituencies.
Through its Evaluation Capacity Development (ECD) initiative, launched in partnership with GEI and the Center for Learning on Evaluation and Results for Lusophone Africa and Brazil (CLEAR–LAB), CIF is supporting its Observers to build the skills they need to evaluate climate interventions in their own contexts, contribute more informed inputs on CIF activities, and strengthen climate action on the ground.
The webinar showcases key lessons, experiences, and insights from this work. CIF Observers discuss how the initiative has made an impact in practice.
