This website from the UNDP Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) is a good example of how organisations can effectively share guidance on evaluation methods and processes.
The Methodology Center is a toolkit of evaluation guidelines, methods, tools and templates designed to support evaluation processes within the UNDP. The content is organised as follows:
- Guidelines: Including UNDP evaluation guidelines, evaluation during COVID-19 guidelines, and GEF project evaluation guidelines.
- Methods: Covering methodological fundamentals for evaluations, data collection and analysis approaches, and assessing cross-cutting themes.
- Tools: Featuring national evaluation diagnostic guidance, and a country programme performance rating system.
- Templates: Organised by document topic (e.g., "Country Programme Evaluation", "Decentralized Evaluation") and document type (e.g., "Analysis", "Theory of Change"). Examples include evaluation management response templates, mixed methods rubric templates, and evaluation plan templates.
By providing these structured resources, the Methodology Center demonstrates how organisations can disseminate evaluation knowledge and tools to enhance the quality and effectiveness of evaluation practices.
