Development projects share some similarities with other types of projects, but they also present unique challenges for the managers and organizations that undertake them. Managing project information systems effectively is one of the most critical.

This course provides a process-based approach to managing development project information. Students will gain a clear understanding of the defining characteristics of information in development projects and learn practical tools, techniques, and best practices to manage it effectively.

Results-Based Management (RBM) is a shift from a focus on inputs and activities to outputs, outcomes, and impact. Results are changes that can be described and measured and are the consequence of a cause-and-effect relationship. They imply that changes in behavior have occurred among individuals, groups, organizations, government bodies, or society.

Explore creative methods for strengthening evaluation at every stage, including community-based participatory and co-created approaches that ensure communities are meaningfully involved throughout the evaluation process.

This session is especially for evaluators, researchers, practitioners, and anyone passionate about making evaluation more inclusive, participatory, and impactful.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI) proudly presents the innovative tools developed by the six recipients of the Feminist Innovation in Monitoring and Evaluation (FIME) Small Awards.

The Uganda Evaluation Week (UEW) 2026 arrives at a defining moment as Uganda launches its Fourth National Development Plan (NDP IV) and the Uganda Evaluation Association celebrates 25 years of advancing evaluation practice in the country.

The event will take place from May 4 to 8 in Kampala, under the theme “Innovate. Include. Impact: Advancing Evidence for Transformative and Sustainable Development."

How do we make sure evaluation leads to real-world change? That’s the central question of the 2026 UK Evaluation Society conference: Bridging the gap: evaluation to action.

Across three themes, we’ll explore how evaluation can shape decisions, build cultures of learning, and communicate findings in ways that inspire action.

The African Development Bank Group’s Development Evaluation Week 2026  (EvalWeek 2026)  will be held from June 15 to 17, under the theme “Catalyzing Impact Across Africa’s Borders.”  The conference will take place in Abidjan and online.

EvalWeek 2026 will bring together policymakers, development practitioners, evaluators, researchers, and development partners to reflect on lessons from evaluations and explore how evidence can better inform regional integration strategies, cross-border initiatives, and Africa’s development agenda.

Over the years, the Outcome Harvesting community has grown into a vibrant global network of practitioners. Members have connected regularly through webinars, online discussions, and collaborative work—and many have met each other in various settings and roles. To spread this capacity and build the ability to learn, we are now organising the first face-to-face gathering of the Outcome Harvesting community.
