Community

The community, particularly intended beneficiaries of an intervention, can undertake an evaluation or contribute to a combined team.

Many participatory methods involve community members undertaking data collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting.

It is important to be clear about when community involvement will add to the validity and credibility of an evaluation and when it will be seen to decrease it.
