Key features
This is a very simple web-based tool with the aim of assisting designers (and non-designers) to choose colour combinations that comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
The tool allows users to toggle the colour of the foreground and background colours, and gives a rating for how well your colour combinations meet the standards for text and headline accessibility.
Once a colour combination is chosen, it's easy to select and copy the RGB and Hex values.
How have you used or intend on using this resource?
I'll be using this to check my colour combinations when designing something for the web and to make sure I make my designs as accessible as possible.
Why would you recommend it to other people?
It's easy to go off a gut feeling of 'this looks good' when designing colour palettes, especially if your eyesight is good. What I like about this tool, and what I think others will find interesting, is the ability to easily play around with colour combinations. It helps to highlight where your assumptions about what looks easy to read are incorrect.
